We found the hotel to have a local feel while still being close to the centre, with an ideal location near the station for trains and buses, as well as the city centre and river for restaurants and similar places. The staff were helpful, and although the two flights of stairs gave us good exercise, they would not suit anyone who dislikes stairs.
